Stars Toddler Room
WELCOME TO THE STARS ROOM TODDLER PROGRAM! Dear Parents, Hello, my name is Danielle Bragg. I have been working here at Robin's ChildsPlace for two years now. My first year teaching at ChildsPlace I assisted in all classrooms and lead the Green Room Preschool summer program. During my second year at ChildsPlace I lead the Stars Toddler Program. I have worked with children at summer camps as well as schools. I have taken workshops and courses at Granite State College in childcare and child development. This past summer, I continued my education through early childhood coursework ay Manchester Community College. During my third year at ChildsPlace, I have been given the opportunity to work with your child as the Lead Teacher in the Stars room and am looking forward to another great year! I am very excited to implement new creative project ideas with your child and to help them develop and grow throughout each and everyday. Stars' goals for this year are to develop our fine motor, gross motor and sensory skills. Throughout the school year it is my duty as a teacher to make sure your child is safe, smiling and comfortable at all times J . I can't wait to have the chance to work with your child and watch the Stars Room toddlers develop through our everyday activities. Feel free during the school year to come to me with any questions or concerns and I will do my best to make sure your child has a wonderful learning experience this year in the Stars Room J . Hi! My name is Lisa Bragg and I will be starting my forth year here at ChildsPlace. I am looking forward to working with your children in the Stars Room. ChildsPlace is an awesome environment for teachers to excel and children to grow. I am looking forward to another great year here. I have over twenty years of experience and have taken early childhood coursework at Great Bay Community College and Manchester Community College. I have two children; Danielle who is 22 and Mitchell who is 19. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of your children's lives. Our goal is that your children will thrive in our nurturing and loving environment. Sincerely, Danielle and Lisa CIRCLE TIME Circle time is a joyful time for toddlers. The children develop language, memory and social skills while exploring new concepts. Story time is enjoyed while friends sit together listening to stories that focus on the theme being highlighted. Flannel board time is a favorite- especially when it is the child's turn to put the flannel piece on the storyboard! Songs and finger plays and actions. Participation is encouraged during circle time and repetition of its components helps children foster language and memory skills. ACTIVITY TIME Monthly themes are reinforced through hands on projects during the activity time each day. Each project is designed to broaden the children's base of experience with the understanding of the monthly theme. New concepts and activities are introduced with a emphasis on the development of listening skills, fine and gross motor skills, creativity, eye hand coordination and social skills. Science, nature, math, reading, social studies and multicultural concepts are incorporated into our activities. Teachers and children gather in small groups where they explore and create with a variety of materials. Children are encouraged to let their self-expression and creativity shine! Bulletin boards around the classroom display unique colorful activities that the children have created. Children are excited and proud to show their family and friends their masterpieces on the walls each week! Be it painting, cutting, gluing, coloring, building, cooking or designing- you can be assured that activity time is always new, exciting and educational!
