FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER
Greetings Families!
It’s official, Puxatony Phil saw his shadow and we’re in for six more weeks of winter. Although this news is disappointing to some parents, it’s wonderful news to many children who are still hoping for the first real snowfall of the season!
In January ChildsPlace welcomed a new in-house field trip from The Granite State Zoo! Their visit was educational, entertaining and included three special visitors: a hedgehog, legless lizard and a kangaroo! During the last two weeks of January parents and teachers had opportunities to formally touch base about their children’s progress at Parent-Teacher Conferences. If you did not have an opportunity to schedule a conference and would like one, please feel free to contact the office at anytime to schedule a conference.
In February ChildsPlace will be pleased to welcome children’s musician Marcus Gale who will be presenting a children’s concert on the 2nd. Please see the signs on front doors for information regarding specific dates and times. As always, if your child is not scheduled to attend on that day, please feel free to bring them in for this special visitor. Friendship celebrations will be taking place in classrooms during the month of February as well. Please see your child’s classroom newsletter or Parent Board for the date and time of their Valentine celebration. Finally, we would like to extend our snowy days = pajama days through the month of February! If it snows any day in February, children are invited to wear pajamas to school on that day!
Families of school aged children needing care during the upcoming February Vacation week, February 27th through March 2nd, please complete and return the registration form as soon as possible. Additionally, please remember that ChildsPlace will be closed in observance of President’s Day on Monday, February 20th. Enjoy the long weekend with your family! Denise
